SPECIAL INK SURFACE TENSION MEASUREMENT PEN

Yourpen test pens are used for bonding, surface treatments, plastic materials, determining plastic surface energy and determining the rate of oily and pollution of metals. Every material has a natural surface energy. The value of this energy varies from material to material. When viewed from the outside, it is not possible to distinguish whether the plastic film has been treated or not. Using Yourpen (solution), it is possible to determine whether there is energy on the surface or not. In this way, adhesive, printing ink and coating can be applied to the plastic material. The unit of our items is expressed as “Dyne” or “mN / m”. The process can be applied easily after determination of the surface, oil and pollution rate in metals. Measurements of Yourpen test pens are made in accordance with the same ASTM procedure as test inks and the reference value of our pens is 38 din / cm. The surface energy values to be applied to the printing materials are as follows:

Print materials Surface energy (Mn/m)=(dyn/cm)
Polyethylene(PE) 30-32
LDPE 31
HDPE 31
Polypropylene(PP) 29-31
OPP, BOPP 29
Polyester(PETP) 42-43
Nylon 6,6 46
Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC) 37-39
Polyvinyl Chloride(PVDC) 40-42
Polyethylene Terephthalate(PET) 42-43
Polystyrene 42-43
Glass 75
Aluminium 40
Steel 50

A thin layer of solution is spread by drawing a line of approximately 5 cm on the medium to be measured with our pens. Our test pens were developed to control the pre-treatment of plastic for further processing (i.e. printing, polishing, conversion, etc.). The test ink pen can be used to visualize the pre-treatment using coron, plasma, liner and flame treatment. A successful pre-treatment can be observed immediately as a permanently closed and solid film.
